Riyadh: President of the Asian Football Federation (AFC) announced that the organization has introduced several reforms over the past year to enhance the competitiveness of Asian football. These initiatives are aimed at laying the groundwork for a more promising future for the sport across the continent.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, in his opening remarks at the Riyadh-hosted AFC Member Associations and Regional Associations Presidents' and General Secretaries' Conference 2025, emphasized the AFC's dedication to ongoing reforms. The event, hosted by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), follows a transformative 2024/25 season that marked a new chapter for Asian football.
Sheikh Salman stated, "The AFC will continue to work tirelessly to achieve our shared objectives, but we know this can only happen when we put our Member Associations and Regional Associations at the heart of everything we do." He highlighted the importance of the annual conference in equipping participants with the knowledge, tools, and connections necessary to achieve new levels of excellence.
