Abul-Gheit: Arab League Remains Unifying Voice for Over 80 Years

Cairo: Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmad Abul-Gheit, emphasized that the League has served as a unifying voice for Arabs for over 80 years, guiding them from colonialism to national liberation.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the League has consistently stood in agreement over the situation and just cause of Palestine, which is currently facing significant challenges, as stated by Abul-Gheit in a speech commemorating the League's eightieth anniversary.

Abul-Gheit noted that the past eighty years have been marked by major events both globally and regionally, and the organization has acted as a barrier against attempts to alter or undermine the region. He highlighted that the League represents all Arab peoples and amplifies their presence on the international stage.

He further noted that despite accomplishments such as the Arab Free Trade Area in 2005 and the upcoming Arab Common Electricity Market in 2024, the League still has numerous ambitions to fulfill.
