Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority Reinforces Readiness and Integration of Field Operations

Abu dhabi: Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Ambulance and Civil Defence, along with Major General Dr. Jassem Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior, reviewed the readiness and integration of field operations at the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA) during a visit to the Saadiyat Civil Defence Centre. They were welcomed by Brigadier Salem Abdullah bin Barak Al Dhaheri, Director-General of ADCDA, and other senior officials.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ADCDA showcased an integrated operational ecosystem that manages firefighting, rescue, ambulance, and hazardous materials operations using the latest technologies and digital solutions. This system aims to enhance response speed and improve field performance efficiency, aligning with international best practices.

During the visit, Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh praised the national workforce for their efficiency and continuous efforts in managing incidents, particularly following recent unprovoked attacks on civilian facilities in Abu Dhabi. He acknowledged their role in providing support and assistance during similar incidents nationwide, highlighting their prompt and professional response to various emergency calls. The advancement of the civil defence system in Abu Dhabi is seen as a reflection of high readiness and integration among relevant entities, contributing to the protection of lives and property.

The visit also included a field tour where officials were briefed on the latest vehicles, equipment, and operational readiness. The coordination and integration mechanisms among specialised teams were also highlighted, aiming to further enhance response efficiency to incidents and emergencies.

The authority emphasized its commitment to promoting public safety and the significant role of the UAE Urban Search and Rescue Team in supporting humanitarian response operations locally and internationally. Additionally, ADCDA showcased its key achievements and initiatives in developing institutional capabilities and enhancing community preparedness.
