Today, Friday, an Iraqi government source revealed that the commander of al-Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Ismail Qaani, is currently in Iraq, as part of an unannounced visit.
The source said, in a statement to “Sputnik”: “The commander of al-Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Ismail Qaani, arrived in Baghdad, about two days ago.”
He added, “Qaani has conducted and will hold meetings with a number of officials and leaders of the Iraqi political forces, and he may meet with Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani.”
