4 Drug Dealers With 200 Thousand Pills Arrested In Basra

The Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of four drug dealers with 200,000 narcotic pills in their possession in Basra Governorate.

It stated in a statement, “A force from the Iraqi National Security Service in Basra governorate managed to overthrow two drug dealers in the center of the governorate, and after investigating them, two others were arrested, one of whom was engaged in the trade and smuggling of hashish.”

It added, “The movements of the accused between the governorates were carried out using forged IDs.”

The statement explained that the INSS’s detachments in Dhi Qar governorate arrested a drug dealer and seized in his possession quantities of narcotic substances and a number of weapons and equipment after setting up a tight ambush that resulted in his arrest in flagrante delicto.
