Gaza City: Health authorities in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that 26 Palestinians were killed and 60 were injured in a shelling by the Israeli occupation forces in various areas in the last 24 hours.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the authorities revealed that the death toll in Gaza since October 2023 has risen to 51,266, with 116,991 people injured. This escalation in violence has compounded the humanitarian crisis in the region.
In a separate statement, the health authorities highlighted the ongoing blockade by Israeli occupation forces, which has prevented the entry of crucial humanitarian aid. The blockade is particularly impacting the availability of polio vaccines, putting 602,000 children at risk of permanent paralysis and chronic disabilities. The statement also emphasized the dire shortages of essential nutrition and clean drinking water, exacerbating the suffering of the population.
