Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced on Tuesday exempting immunized travelers coming from abroad, arriving in Kuwait from paying the PCR test fees at the value of KD 20 via ‘Kuwait Mosafer’ application.

They should only conduct the PCR tests and pay in Kuwait in case the traveller wished to end his (her) home quarantine, starting from next Sunday August 1st, it added in a press statement.

This decision imposes home quarantine on all immunized citizens and expatriates for one week from the date of their arrival in the country, and in case they desire to end the quarantine they should make a PCR test and pay inside the country, and once the test is out and is negative from Coronavirus Covid-19, the quarantine will end accordingly, it added.

Minister of Interior and Acting Defense Minister Sheikh Thamer Ali Al-Sabah expressed on Tuesday his pride of the efforts and sacrifices of the Kuwaiti armed forces towards their country.

During the reception of the ministry’s workers and staff on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, Sheikh Thamer praised the cooperation and coordination between the ministry of interior and the ministry of defense in protecting Kuwaiti lands.

On his part, Kuwait Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sabah expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this reception which reflects the minister’s devotion towards the workers in the ministry.

A number of senior officials attended the reception.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Tuesday received a telephone call from Sayid Ammar Al-Hakim, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.

During the call, relations between the two countries and their peoples have been reviewed, and Al-Hakim wished His Highness the Amir everlasting well-being, and Kuwait further progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir thanked al-Hakim for the good feelings and initiative, wishing him good health.

– The First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, Hamad Ahmed Al Rahoumi, arrived in Kuwait on a three-day official visit.

The Emirati delegation was received by Acting Speaker of the National Assembly of Kuwait Ahmad Khalifa Al-Shahoumi, and National Assembly Secretary-General Adel Al-Loughani.
