14 Projects Opened for Feedback through the Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa

Riyadh: The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center's Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has unveiled 14 projects focused on economic and development affairs. In partnership with 10 government agencies, the SCBC is extending an invitation to the general public, government bodies, and the private sector to provide feedback on these projects prior to their approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, key initiatives highlighted on the platform include the 'Updating the Construction Site Work Guide,' spearheaded by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. This project aims to integrate public feedback into the revised guide to enhance its quality and utility for both government bodies and the private sector. Feedback for this project is open on the Istitlaa platform until April 15, 2026.

Additionally, the platform features draft projects titled 'Amendment of Rules and the Violation Table for the Travel and Tourism Services Activity' and 'Amendment of Rules and the Violation Table for the Tourist Guiding Activity.' These initiatives, driven by the Ministry of Tourism, seek to align the violations framework with current regulatory standards, improve service quality, and ensure a balanced regulatory approach. The deadline for public consultation on these projects is April 19, 2026.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority is also seeking public input on its project, 'Update of Guidance on the Requirements of Designation of Conformity Assessment Bodies.' This initiative outlines technical requirements for conformity assessment bodies to secure designation from the SFDA, with feedback accepted until May 1, 2026.

Furthermore, the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has introduced the 'Responsible AI Policy' project, aiming to balance innovation with responsible AI use and clarify roles throughout the AI lifecycle. Public feedback for this project is available until May 3, 2026.

The launch of these projects via the Istitlaa platform underscores a commitment to transparency in the legislative framework, fostering a culture of public involvement by enabling stakeholders to provide insights on proposed business environment regulations.
