Cairo: The 117th Ministerial Session of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the League of Arab States began today at the league's headquarters. The session is chaired by Algeria and includes the participation of Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, along with ministers or representatives of economy and trade from member Arab states. The Kingdom's delegation is led by Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance for Multilateral International Relations, Naif bin Mohammed Alenzi.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the council is addressing draft agendas and resolutions focused on various economic and social issues. These topics are also set to be part of the discussions at the league council's upcoming 35th regular summit session, scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia. The session aims to foster collaboration and decision-making on key issues affecting the region.
