11 more rivals contest Kuwait parliament election

– On the ninth day of registration, another 11 people, including 10 males and a female, on Tuesday submitted candidacy applications to the election watchdog to run for the forthcoming General Assembly (parliament) election slated for September 29th.

The new candidates have thus taken the total number of rivals up to 350 so far, involving 326 males and 24 females. They include two in the First Constituency, two in the second, three in the third, two in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Meanwhile, three rivals from the Fourth Constituency Ahmad Al-Laho, Talal Al-Said and Abdullah Al-Mutairi have pulled out of the race.

On August 29, the election watchdog opened the door for registration for the coming electoral race, proceeding until September 7
