Kuwait city: The Government Media Office in Gaza has issued a grave warning that over 100,000 children in the region are at risk of mass death due to a severe shortage of milk and nutritional supplements, marking an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the situation is particularly dire for more than 100,000 children aged around two and 40,000 infants under one year old. The crisis is exacerbated by the complete lack of baby formula and essential nutritional supplements, compounded by the ongoing closure of crossings and the blockade on basic supplies.
The statement from the media office describes the situation as a slow mass killing of infants, who are being fed water instead of baby formula due to the blockade. This dire situation is a result of what the statement describes as a policy of starvation and extermination by Israeli occupation forces. The rising death toll from famine and malnutrition now stands at 122, including 83 children, underscoring the severity of the crisis.
